Competitions
Entries for categories A-G to be taken to the craft tent between 10am – 11.45am on Rose Day.
Judging will take place at 11.50am.
Enter Class H by emailing your property address to s.smallwood@btinternet.com by Thursday 23rd June 2022. Judging will take place on Friday 24th June and the Smallwood trophy for best entry awarded on Rose Day.
Rose Day Competitions
Class A | A single rose, any variety in exhibitor’s own container |
Class B | Three roses of one or more variety in exhibitor’s own container |
Class C | An arrangement of garden flowers (any container) |

Children’s classes
Class D: Garden flowers in a jam jar
Section one: Up to 7 years old
Section two: 7 -11 years old
Class E: Mr or Mrs Potato Head (decorate a potato with fruit and vegetables)
Section one: Up to 7 years old
Section two: 7 -11 years old
Special classes (open to all)
Class F | Table arrangement to include at least one rose to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee |
Class G | Baking Competition – 9 inch pie filled with summer fruits |
Class H | The Best Decorated Property with Banners/or Bunting |

Class C: Chairman’s Vase
Class D: The Edward Simpson Cup/The Jim Schofield Cup
Class F. The Hodgson Cup
Class G. Rose Festival Craft Plate
